You may have noticed the shiny red emblem on the right!  In the spring I was interviewed about Kilimanjaro and Beyond on an internet radio broadcast hosted by The Authors Show. This fall, I was requested, along with a number of other interviewees, to submit a 1000 word essay on the book and my writing. The essays were judged by a panel and narrowed down to 111 authors, of which I was fortunate enough to be one.

Voting is now taking place until November 11 to determine the final 50, whose essays will be publishes in a book called “50 Great Writers You Should Read.” I am really honored to have made the finals and I want to thank my son Chris, who provided his input to Kilimanjaro and Beyond. I was nominated because I was interviewed but some of the credit goes to him.

Now I need your help. Everyone can vote once for their favorite so I would ask you to go to the link and cast your vote. Making it to the top 50 should boost sales and a portion of the proceeds goes towards my project to help young women in Africa start small businesses.
